Beyond Dubstep

Machina

There are at least 2 cuts on this highly accomplished offering that are right up there with the very best electronica of the last decade - 'White Mark', and 'Still Shores'. Exquisite work.

many sides

sheatheman

a true musician/producer has many sides. this is a beautiful example of this. i heard "bloodline" on my brother's pandora dubstep station, i was shocked to see how many different sounds are on this album though. i used the remaining 8 downloads to download up through track 9. I will have to wait to get the rest.

Keeps me interested by it's variety

DubDance

Much of this is on the darker side of dubstep, techno influences are frequent. Try Pins for the latter. Each track adds variety and thus makes the album listenable, you never quite know what might come up next. Heavy sounds like on Versus, followed by a spacier, piano intro'd Red Sky. I haven't found myself wanting to skip stuff after repeated listens.

Not bad

anistropsim

I usually avoid so-called "dubstep" due to it being so focused on being dark and brooding, it`s almost suffocating to listen to and the whole genre just kinda sounds the same in a big slab of grey. This album reminds us that even in "dark" music, it`s ok to come up for air sometimes!

I liked it

benpjones

I rarely download an entire album. I did this one. Each song is just different enought from the others that it keeps it interesting. And each song grooves with stuttering rocky debris.

Another tasty slab of electronic delight from Planet Mu.
