better than I thought it would be

This album it better than I thought it would be. I'd heard one or two of her songs on mid market stations some years ago and liked her. With Crazy Love she's matured a little more and I was rather surprised she had grown as much as she had. With some more lyrical meat she could become a writer to watch for.

pleasant enough

Songs are pleasant enough, but the production/backup is often better than the vocal. Sounds better if she stays in the lower register (River to My Soul), higher pitches get whiny.
