...with the Chris Rice/Phil Keaggy comparison. Jacob does that earnest singer songwriter thing with a looping guitar pedal. While The Loop is a nice disc, it suffers a bit from Jacob's own compositions not being particularly strong this time around; the songs just aren't that memorable. His low-key solo acoustic guitar cover of Rush's Subdivisions is awesome, though.

I first heard of Jacob on "The Drew Marshall Show", Jacob reminds me of a cross between Chris Rice & Phil Keaggy with a touch of James Taylor and Rich Mullins. With that said, Jacob is a must for that genre fans!
