Hunter's 1996 release - now available stateside...

Hunter reaches back into 60's soul sound territory and pulls out some likable grooves including an uplifting cover of Ray Charles "Hallelujah, I Love Her So". He's even joined by Northern Soul fave Doris Troy on the album closer "Hear Me Calling". I just bought this reissued CD ( with the Van Morrison duets) at a Hunter concert, and got mine signed by the artist, although if you don't have that proximity, don't delay, Believe What I Say, and just get these tracks today!!

This is a throwback to the Sam Cooke days, artfully done by a man that shows great reverence to the genre while throwing in his own talented touches. The only problem (a big one) is that this version does not contain the two duets with Van Morrison. "Turn on Your Lovelight" and "Aint Nothing You Can Do" are missing from the original album. Still, a great download.
