jehro explodes on the music scene with tracks that are undeniable. His voice would settle any person who likes a good tune into a joyful mood. This is the beginning for Jehro and the world that will love him for such an authentic sound. 10 stars

Sweet!

Grooveseeker

Who is this Jehro? Where has he been hiding? Apparently in France and New York. His MySpace profile says he is 107 years old, which perhaps explains his timeless blend of folk, alt rock, retro Caribbean with just a sprinkle of samba-salsa. Sounds a bit like Devendra Banhart minus the bizarreness, and/or Harry Belafonte fast-forwarded into the new millenium.

Wonderfully fluffy

kamilaht

Fluffy is strange way to describe music, but that's how Jehro's songs sound, very clean, wonderful lyrics, happy even when they're sad. Very addictive sound. Try it. Just listen to Everything, and you'll be hooked.

Reggae Fusion

Margaritabythebeach

Take Reggae, add a dash of R&B, some Salsa and you've got Jehro. This album is fresh. If you like kickin' back to roots-style Reggae, but have missing a more contemporary sound, Jehro is your artist/album. Where has this guy been?? Have another Red Stripe, a margarita or a mojito and enjoy something original.

They Say All Music Guide

The self-titled debut album from this Marseilles native was inspired by Caribbean and American grassroots music. Sung in both Spanish and English, the tracks evoke calypso, folk, and reggae. While comparisons have been drawn between Jehro and fellow French crooner Manu Chao, Jehro’s voice is all his own, straight from an island paradise. From “Everything” to “All I Want,” each track is track is smooth and sweet. – Celeste Rhoads
