Who is this???
How have I never heard this before? I've been in a slump lately, in terms of finding new (to me) artists to get excited about. This album was a welcome surprise. I very much recommend it.

I first heard Jem on Area 51 (KNRK 94.7 FM Portland, Oregon). I am impressed!
What a great find. I can't get enough of They and her sultry voice is perfectly tuned to the messages of her songs.
This is a smartly woven and intensly personal album. Her ability to make lyrics alive with emotion and still make mainstream sound is remarkable.
EVERY track is great... and it'll really grow on you the more you listen. Give it a go!
I bought "Finally Woken" a few years back not really knowing I was getting this wonderful "Dido-pop" gem (yes, pun intended). Jem (Jemma Griffiths)'s talents are many : she co-writes all her songs, has a great voice and she's able to cross over many genres. I just love the rockish urgency of "24", the carefree fun of "Just A Ride", the rhyming beats of "They", the sexiness of "Come On Over" and the James Bondish guitars and the romance of "Falling For You". Get his album, you won't regret it.
If you are a fan of Imogen Heap and Beth Orton you will love this album.
