Joe on Fire

subtone

For me, this is the definitive version of Invitation - Joe's solo with the bass underneath is classic Joe at his creative best. His ideas are almost compositional and tone superb - and then Woody Shaw comes in burnin with great interactive feel from the group. Great jazz - Highly recommended!

Joe Henderson is way underrated

pleasuredome

I like this album, as well as a bunch of others you can get off emusic a lot. He's got a great tone, and pushes the music into really interesting spots.
