Quality Songwriting
All the songs on this recording are Joel Timothy's own - and are strong examples of the Country singer/songwriter tradition at its best. Both the vivid imagery in the emotional lyrics and Joel Timothy's strong and expressive voice make this an interesting and memorable collection, which might appeal to fans of modern Folk and indie Rock, as well as Country Music. Vince Emmett (who also produced the album) gives musical support on an impressive array of stringed and keyed instruments, joined by Ray Rizzo on percussion, Todd Hildreth on Accordion (memorable on "Racing the Train"), Lindsay Willinger on Backing vocals and Ryan Tullock on theremin & KAOS Pad. This is a strong release, well recommended.
