I love John Martyn but this album represents John at his most regrettable worst. Some of the songs on the album (Bless the Weather, Solid Air) may be classics but these are re recordings in a middle of the road jazz style with none of the soul and feeling of the originals. Best avoided.
Couldn't Love you More is in my Desert Island Discs collection, if they ever ask me. Absolutely beautiful. You left us far too soon, John.

"LONELY ROAD" is gorgeous. This man is definitely worth listening to. I will search his other albums carefully!
Artful strike again with yet another compilation of John's years on the Permanent Label. Best left alone in favour other albums.
