This guy will appeal to beboppers and cool jazz lovers as well as pop lovers that remember the great standards. I especially liked the scat on "I remember you" and the piano skills on all tracks.

Outstanding Tunes
Great music. Each song is balanced between all the musicians so you can focus on what is being played. His CD's leave you looking forward to the next. Great style in the approach to the tunes and singing.
Chet Baker improved
John has the same youthful wistful voice styling of Chet Baker, but he is a marvelously witty pianist as well. The arrangements and the other instrumentalists make this a joy to listen to.
