John Schlitt’s Unfit for Swine is a direct, honest record from the former Petra singer. Keeping the production simple, Schlitt recorded the album live in the studio with DC Talk producer Toby McKeehan. The result is an anthemic alternative folk-rock in the vein of Jars of Clay, which means it can appeal to not only CCM fans, but those secular listeners who fear that CCM means wimpy, soft music.
