One of the leading musicians/composers in the realm of sound healing stimulates the crown chakra.
2007 | Label: Spirit Music, Inc. / IODA

Jonathan Goldman has been recognized as one of the leading musicians/composers in the realm of sound healing. He's noted for his eclecticism and for his use of assorted instruments from various cultures to create a wide tableau of sound healing choices. Much like a pharmacist has thousands of remedies on hand, so does Goldman. One of my favorite recordings of his is Waves of Light. It features little more than a synth with binaural beats that move from side-to-side in the brain connecting neural networks, while a simple tone circumnavigates one's inner attention. I like the simplicity of the hour-plus piece, and the sense of stillness it creates. Though it modulates slightly high at certain points, its intention is to no doubt stimulate the crown chakra.

Just beautiful ... and a buying hint.

This CD is 72 minutes of what I can only call "celestial" sounds. Using special tuning forks tuned to 9 Holy Harmony frequencies, Goldman has painted a sonic landscape of great beauty and profound power. You can buy the download at Amazon.com for $4.99, thereby saving your eMusic credits for music that is NOT less expensive elsewhere.

Beyond time and space

This is one of the most beautiful pieces of sound I've listened to. It's like something out of a very old dream. There's a serene yet sobering and clarifying feel to it. I've listened to it while walking, in line at the bank, going to sleep. To me it it is the very opposite of uncomfortable or hard to listen to. Jonathan Goldman's website states that it uses Solfeggio tone tuning forks and that it has an otherworldly sound that gives a sense of peace and tranquility. I've read about this composition and have seen no mention of activating the crown chakra or it having binaural beats. I believe "Chakra Chants" and "Chakra Chants 2" by the same artist are the ones for chakras. I would say this recording is obviously not for everyone at this point in time.

wow this album is definitely amazing,,, i'm skeptical about the science behind binaural beats but also pretty sure that if you BELIEVE that this album is connecting the sides of your brain and increasing neural connections then it will so... this music is open software use it how you want, i personally do not find any of the tones piercing but i also love animal collective including that first song on spirit they're gone. Many stars, this album is great sleep meditation food

Piercing

it may open the crown chakra, but your ears will pay for the ringing and you will probably get a headache from listening to this sound.

I learned something today

If having my "crown chakra" stimulated means having to listen to someone rubbing the rims of stemware glasses in their shower, I think I can go without chakra-stimulating, thanks.

Finding Balance: The Sounds Of Sound Healing

By Robert Phoenix, eMusic Contributor

"Healer, heal thyself" were the words that ricocheted in my brain, tilted by a mean bout of Vertigo that had recently put me in the hospital. I had never experienced such an overwhelming and debilitating feeling as when I crumpled to the floor, hanging on for dear life as my world spun out of control. The ambulance arrived moments later. I spent my night in emergency hell, shielding my eyes from the blinding fluorescent light rays,… more »
