Jordan Rudess is amazing
I love listening to his piano and keyboard work. I love watching him perform live. His stage presence is unbelievable. This recording demonstrates his technical prowess. That being said, those same skills that make him such a delight to listen to, unfortunately, detract from this particular recording. There is so much going on that the songs themselves actually get lost in the pyrotechnics of his digits. A shame. I wish I could hear what he is hearing in his interpretations of these Christmas songs.
