If You Love Journey ...

LibbyW

If you love, and miss, Journey, this is the album for you. Lost my album, 8-trak, and CD, so I'm thrilled that I can download. It's all the best songs. PS: As for MacD, if he/she didn't like Journey to begin with why bother to write a review - except to boost an already frgaile but inflated ego.

Garbage to the tenth power!!!

MacD

This crap was crap when it was new and it stinks even worse as the years roll on!Thank you Lord that they don't make this kind of sappy hokum any more! At least I hope not! Oh well, if they do,I'll just do what I did the first time, listen to my Black Flag albums again!!!

Journey's Greatest Hits is Timeless

EdgeUvRezun

They don't write 'em like that anymore... Beautiful lyrics with sick beats. Even my nephew (20 years my junior) rocks to their classics!

Your problem,

dramoscordova, is that you stopped believing.

All their classics!

Journey's fans can be summed up like this: you claim to hate 'em but you know you love 'em. Come on, you all know you used to spend many Friday and Saturday nights at a bar or a club with a DJ just waiting for him (or her) to throw down "Don't Stop Believin" and try to get into that crowd with a really good beer buzz going. This album has all their classics on it. There were a couple that I have heard on the radio many times, but had no idea they were Journey. On this album, there were some songs I had never heard before, but have grown to enjoy them as I listen to this album. I prefer Greatest Hits albums and this one does a great job with compiling all of Journey's greatest hits together.

what is the point?

If you dig this stuff, you have owned it for years. It doesnt age well, but if you were in high school in the 1980's it is primo stuff to remind you of that horrible/great time of life. I dont get it, but that is because i discovered Sonny Boy Williamson and Lefty Frizzell prior to discovering Steve Perry. You are probably normal.

Great Music

I hate the way eMusic will only let you download certain songs by buying the whole album. All great songs but I already had most of these in my library.

I get ragged on, but still love Journey

Aryxus

My goth days were spent listening to Bauhaus, Chris & Cosey, Tones on Tail, This Mortal Coil, and, yep, Journey.

Ready Player One Radio

By Ernie Cline, eMusic Contributor

Ernie Cline's debut novel, Ready Player One, is one long love letter to the '80s, paying tribute to the movies, music, TV shows, video games and just about everything else that made the era so tough for us to leave behind. The book is also a wild dystopian adventure set in 2044 wherein underdog misfits battle evil forces in a massive virtual universe for fame, fortune and righteousness. It's an epic battle of good vs.… more »

They Say All Music Guide

Greatest Hits is an excellent, thorough 14-track collection containing all of Journey’s big hits, from 1978′s “Wheel in the Sky” to 1986′s “I’ll Be Alright Without You.” Although the songs aren’t presented in chronological order and a handful of minor hits (“Suzanne,” “Walks Like a Lady”) aren’t included, it doesn’t matter, since every essential Journey single — “Only the Young,” “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Separate Ways,” “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’,” “Open Arms,” “Send Her My Love” — is here, which means that it’s all most casual fans will ever need. [The set was reissued in 2006 with an expanded booklet and the addition of one song, "When You Love a Woman," from 1996's Trial by Fire.] – Stephen Thomas Erlewine
