I love July Skies and it's a very particular subgenre of folk, one that centres on a particular geographic place, the Black Country in England, and times lost, before consumerism overtook society and things seemed simpler. Unashamed nostalgia, and yes, lots of reverb.....
Yippee. Another reverb driven instrumental band that borders on sounding new age. With crappy, Jr. high school song titles like "So sad today" and "The softest kisses" you should know what you are getting into. Suck city.
There's something about July Skies. The music seems to capture a haunting nostalgia of the summers of your youth. Swallows and Swifts is the stand out track for me.
