Karen Carpenters Superstar!
This is the album everyone was waiting for back in 1979 and the album that would have catapulted Karen to super stardom had it been released. The album has a taste of everything from rock to country, ballads to disco. In fact, the disco track "My Body Keeps Changing My Mind" not only would have been a smash hit but would have most likely ended up as one of the last disco songs to come out of the disco era. In 1981 Christopher Cross walked off with an armful of Grammy's but it would have been Karen who would walked in those shoes if she had simply not let those around her influence her decision to shelve the album. An album she worked hard for well over a year in fact.
