Wonderful storyteller....

Dondi

I love this woman. Her songs, many of which she writes herself, are so descriptive and image driven, it's hard not to find something to relate to in our own memories. From the touching Moonpie Dreams to the beat driven Wrought Iron Fences, I am drawn into the story she's relating.....

This is my favorite recording of Kate's--I think because I've been to Chattanooga many times and we also owned a Galaxy 500!

Sweet........

This is the first album that drew me to Kate Campbell's music. Focusing on her growing up in the South, she takes you through her world one song at a time. "See Rock City" is a catchy little ditty that has road trip seething from every line. You can feel the hot vinyl seats beneath you as you travel with her in her "Galaxie 500". And "Delmus Jackson" is made so real, that you'll feel like you already know the man. "Older Angel" could easily pertain to any number of situations in our world today, where we all could use that "Older Angel" to get us through. With a sharp eye for imagery put into words, her stories will transform you. Given her twangy soprano and chrystal clear vocals, it is a pleasure and a gift to listen to this Woman. Not easily categorized, one might put her in the pop, 70's, or even country and americana segment. Give it a listen, I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Check out more Kate Campbell here-none of them will disappoint.
