There was a Richard Linklater movie back in '95. In one scene Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke get into a booth in a Paris record store to listen to track and they almost kiss. The song they listen to is Come Here by Kath Bloom and it captures the moment so well. One of my all time favorite songs along with Fall Again.
Do yourself a favor and download this. The best known track on this collection is Come Here (and it is a gorgeous haunting song),but the entire cd is filled with true gems top to bottom. Bloom's music is in its own genre-- strands of folk, blues, country, some hints of cajun. These are unique songs, but after a few plays they sound like you've known them forever. At bottom, it's simply beautiful music, beautifully sung and beautifully played. Positively addictive.
