Memphian Kevin Paige aimed for a mix of soul, urban contemporary, dance, and rock and achieved it through enthusiastic vocals and skillful production. Unfortunately, he had such an eclectic album that it couldn’t be marketed to any one audience. He did get two songs onto the pop charts, and his album reached the lower rungs of the pop album charts, so overall, it was a success. – Ron Wynn
