A Real Treat Packed with Sublime Pop Tunes
A lot of bands can release a handful of strong singles over a couple of years but few can keep the quality going on the flip sides and then write an album featuring only a handful of these tracks. Kid Canaveral have managed that – with ease. To the extent that ‘Shouting at Wildlife’ is, in the best tradition of the Undertones, a real treat packed from start to finish with sublime pop tunes. Almost all of the songs on the record could hold their own as singles. Kid Canaveral aren’t going to change the world (sadly!) but they certainly make mine a much, much happier place.
