Couldn't disagree more with fingerpickerguy - this is no party album but give it time and you will be greatly rewarded with it's richness, warmth, melancholy and the breadth of influences from folk and blues to gospel and soul. And what a voice - Joe Cocker sings Ray La Montage. 'Saturday Night' is a more instant and obvious opening track as far as I'm concerned - memorable enough but not representative of where they rest of this amazing album takes you. 'Man Without A Care' is my pick of the bunch - the kora playing and African singing come as a welcome surprise and complement Kreg's singing on a truly uplifting tune.
At first listen, I thought, Hmm, here is a CD that I could enjoy. But it goes nowhere but south after a semi-strong start. I could listen to maybe 2 of these songs before my interest was completely lost. They are all slow to mid tempo drifters. From my brief listen, it seems like he started the CD off with his best song and then let things fall from there. So, download the first song and call it good from there.
