Just when we were beginning to fret for a new 'Chop album, the meister himself, along with the wonderful Cortney Tidwell presents us with twelve obscure songs of unrequited love and heartbreak. Twelve songs plucked from the back pages of Chart Records, an old indie label once operated by Cortney's Grandpa. All of them could be described as lost nuggets, beautifully polished by Cort and Kurt, sung alone and in duet. Kurt and band are in fine form. Cortney's voice is achingly poignant. You won't find these songs on Steve Wright's Sunday love songs - thank God! It's surprising how many great underated lost songs are out there. It's surprising how much underated Kurt music there is out there. Warning - this album may cause salt tears in your beer.
