Metal vets continue to evolve and progress

Lamb of God’s seventh studio album (counting their debut as Burn the Priest) is their longest to date, 14 songs in just under an hour. That’s a lot to withstand in a single sitting, and they seem to know it. Much better than Wrath, but the song writing doesn't stray far from their formula. The review above talks about progress which is a real stretch. This is the sound of a band being very comfortable with who they are. Good but not great.
