Amazing Technical Precision
I have played in a chamber group that performed track 7 from this album, and rehearsed track 8. Track 7 is blazing fast and very difficult to play, and this ensemble, led by Lara St. John, pulls it off flawlessly. This kind of group cohesiveness and tight musical playing is rare to find, and it, coupled with Lara St. John's virtuosity, makes for a dramatic and energetic interpretation of this old music. A very well-done album that I keep coming back to.
