This release marks Watling’s (ex-Autocollants) first full-length as a solo artist. These impressive home recordings — with Watling providing most of the instrumentation — start with the dancy “Same” and conclude with the reflective “Time Is Never on Our Side.” In between, listeners witness her flare for dreamy melodies and bouncy pop. On this borderline shoegazer pop, sweet vocals and various levels of multi-instrumentation form an impression of carefully-crafted pop songs. – Stephen Cramer
