Muscially Rich

HundredsofCDsLater

First, a disclosure - I am working on a documentary about Lee Feldman (and any of his fans who'd like to offer their opinions, please post.) This, Lee's third album, his first after the whole Mercury label mess, is produced by Ed Haber who has also produced albums from Linda Thompson and Richard Thompson. It is full of some of New York's finest musicians helping out on to make a musically rich collection. Lee worked with them from his written scores to create something organic that reflects what these wonderful musicians appreciated in his music. Having been at these sessions, I can say to a one, each of these guys and gals admired Lee's unique combinations of chords and progressions, as well as his funny and sometimes poignant lyrics. Some of Lee's best songs here showcase his jazz piano and improv skills. Listen to Mrs. Greene, Waltz for a Sad Girl and Morning Train. And don't miss the old ladies chorus on See You Again.
