Out of all Lee Ranaldo’s solo projects, East Jesus is one of the most open and listenable. A collection of lo-fi home recordings, the album captures the Sonic Youth guitarist at both his most accessible and his most experimental, ranging from soundscapes to quiet, meditative pop/rock songs.
