Defies lables -and kicks ass!

OrkyDoc

Leftover Crack's second album could be considered their best. Without a bad song on it this band really defies generes. Successfully taking a unique style of Hardcore Punk/Ska and infusing in it elements of Death Metal sounds and Hip Hop attitude they have created some of the best music ever. Politically charged, they pull no punches, as you can tell by the cover they say what they like. The songs on this album are about killing cops, hating cops, burning prisons, being happy about 9/11, hating America, accepting death and Atheism, and killing more cops. Even though I obviously don't agree with everything(actually a lot of things) they say I still love them. Songs to Note: All of 'em not a bad song to be found except maybe Soon We'll be Dead kinda slow.

Thunderous Cacaphony

FIREMANBAN

L.O.C. is back and they are badder then ever. Although more refined thanks to producer Steve Albini, the power and the message remain, with all of the cop-killin' angst than you have come to expect (assuming you have Mediocre Generica, and if you don't, download it NOW!) from the band that has stayed true to the anti-establishment roots of punk. If you like L.O.C., then related bands Choking Victim and INDK are essential. Another band that should not be overlooked is Morning Glory, Ezra Crack's (or Glory's) band that is a phenomenal example of songwriting, musicmanship, and dissent, mixing elements of hardcore punk (I mean HARDCORE: the entire album was recorded on an eight-track in Ezra's apartment) and hip-hop to form one of the most seminal punk albums of our time. Look past the production values and you will find a musician intimately devoted to what punk is all about, breaking down the divisions of society and fighting the powers that be who keep the people in fear.

They Say All Music Guide

Leftover Crack return their fire-stoked railroad spike to society’s eye with the subtlety-banishing Fuck World Trade. The spike’s iron cooled after 2001′s Mediocre Generica, and little was heard from the New York squatter punks. But World Trade makes up for lost time — it’s provoking and nonconforming in double and triple amounts. “Clear Channel (Fuck Off!)” is a rallying cry even without its East Coast hardcore rumble, while “Life Is Pain” and “Gang Control” return to the scraggly ska-punk sound that’s the band’s strongest side. As a vocalist, Stza is, well, limited. But to spit vitriol and passion, you don’t have to be the Velvet Fog. His pained whine leads the boys through a host of hyper upbeats and amplified hardcore choruses, and the kicker is that this record is more melodic than 99 percent of what the punk-pap army offers. (“Rock the 40 Oz.” and the acoustic lead-up to “One Dead Cop”‘s main progression are both highlights.) Leftover Crack are street-level revolutionaries from their lyrics, to their cover art, all the way through to their energizing, uncompromising music. While their message can be both visually and sonically bludgeoning, its candor is refreshing in an age of middling media, partisan politics, and social second-guessing. It’s real revolution rock. – Johnny Loftus
