Soulful Deeply Moving Singing
Liane is wonderful - a huge voice with a great range and she uses dynamics to real advantage (especially on "Picture in a frame"). A voice soaked in jazz - and the blues - and she swings like the clappers. Live, she's outstandingly funny too. I've sat near her on a couple of gigs and seen her eyes glistening with tears after she's sung a song that she's felt deeply. And she's one of three singers who can move ME to tears, the others being Paul Robeson and Billie Holiday. Yep - she's the real deal all right.
