Superb, as always!
Another stunning album from Lisa Gerrard, who's one half of Dead Can Dance - just in case that wasn't apparent from the sound samples. Lisa can be relied on for consistently beautiful, meaningful music, and this highly atmospheric collection is just as incredible as previous works; it's intelligent music that will stand the test of time. The musical style is perhaps a little darker than on much of her earlier material, but it's mostly balanced by the warmth and hope expressed in the rich vocals. Tracks 7, 8, 11 & 12 are a little melancholy, with darker vocals than others, and the vocal arrangement in 11 may be a little weird for some; track 5 is faster but definitely still hanging out on the dark side. My favourites are 1, 4 and 6.
