Major Heartthrob

This gal has proven she's got good taste in music; roots; style; all kinds of glam, and can pluck the F*ck out of a 6 string. Writing and singing fill out the roster of her talents. Doesn't hurt that she's easy on the eyes, either. I'm smitten. Again.

Lissie - My Wild West

dogboy30

The first two albums by Lissie were fantastic. This one has the feel of a more polished approach to the production, as if the goal was achieving a wider audience. Unfortunately, this approach can dampen the artistry. But while there are restrained songs here, the vocals are still damned good. I don't understand why Lissie has not become a megastar by now. But if the next album lets loose again like Catching A Tiger and Back To Forever, superstardom awaits!

Needless to say, navigating such a wide array of music can be tricky. We've picked 25 acts worth making time for. more »
