You can do better ...

Sonofonan

Poppahayden is right, it's poor of eMusic to present these as the 'Greatest Hits' of Little Richard. They're re-recordings. And while they're not terrible (it's Little Richard after all), these tracks don't have anything like the excitement and drive of the originals. Avoid.

These Are Not the Original Recordings

Poppahayden

Even One Star is too high a rating for any a CD that does not clearly state up front that what they are trying to sell you are not the original recordings!

They Say All Music Guide

This short fiery CD of the incomparable Little Richard’s greatest hits also works as an audio blaster for excessive wax in your ear canals. The outrageous one’s vocal approach is similar to a young Mike Tyson building a 20-0 record against tomato cans, as ferocious as lions feeding on a kill, and about as subtle as a bull rampaging through a china shop. From “Tutti-Frutti” to “Rip It Up,” Little Richard explodes through these ten bawdy (but cleaned up) rock & roll classics as if every word he sings will be his last, never catching a breath — or giving you a chance to catch yours. – Andrew Hamilton
