One of my favorite albums of all time. Metal, Punk, Funk, great musicianship.

One of the best late 80's albums . Listened to it everyday for a long time . Used it to get psyched for work at a job I hated in a town I hated even more .
I'll just admit right here that I didn't appreciate this album when it came out. Maybe I was just turned off by the hype. I bought the disc because of the singles and Vernon Reid, but the rest left me cold. Saw them open for the Stones. eh. My mindset at the time was "yeah, but Bad Brains are such a better band." And they were. Listening to this album now is a revelation. It really isn't as sparkly and polished as I thought back then. There is a ferociousness in these songs I didn't hear before. They hold up much better than I thought they would. Without having hype shoved down our throats, this is an incredible album. Something it took me 20 years to hear.
