Typical lloyd Cole......
He will NOT let you down. Not his best work (needs the commitments behind him) but still very good music.

Wow - great to see Lloyd Cole producing great music all those years after his time in the limelight way back more than 20 years ago. Some excellent songs like vin ordinaire, past imperfect, no more love songs.
If you like your Lloyd Cole wry, jangly, and deep in thoughtful mode then you might like this. His songs are the best since, well, his first solo debut. The playing is crisp (The Negatives - superb) and the guitars sound fab. Highlights are 'What's wrong with this picture?' and 'Vin ordinaire' but it's a very consistent set. By the way, featured on guitar and back vox in The Negatives was the fabulous and highly desirable Jill Sobule whose terrific album 'Underdog victorious' you can download here at eMu.
