Excellent vocals with some nice electronic alterations. Instrumental support is is not too complicated and fits well. I like this a lot and will be downloading.

I first heard Carl Sagan on the Six Degrees Traveler internet radio show, and was intrigued by that odd ambivalently-male voice. At first just the The whole album has really grown on me, as much for Ritchie's voice and lyrics as the entire ensemble. There's a rich humanness to this album that is hard for most bands to capture. Tracks 1, 2, 4 and 7 are standouts.
After a traumatic first couple of months in Portland a friend came to visit from back east. The plane was delayed and late at night bored in the PDX airport I saw Loch Lomond play a bunch of songs and I was hooked. Got this album and things turned around in Portland so obvious they are full of magic and goodness. I suppose they are comparable to the "freak folk" devandra barnhart label but labels are kind of lame. Anyway download this album get them to play your town or better yet go to Portland, OR ride your bike to a venue order a nice IPA sit back and let Ritchie Young's voice hangs with you for a while.
