Grandes Exitos???
Newcomers to Andean folk music should not mistake this collection of recent songs for the true Greatest Hits of this legendary band. Not bad at all, but there's much better where this comes from. They are the best of the Andean folk bands in my opinion, but you wouldn't necessarily know that from this album (Palomita and Tatalitu are some highlights). Los Kjarkas have been making Andean music for over 30 years and easily have 15 songs better than any on this album. But if this is the only album you can find, it will have to do as an introduction to El Grupo Aymara.
