These are just some of the adjectives, that come to mind. Reminds me of similar abstract projects by Fennesz and Biosphere. I'm not sure, really what to think of Loscil's newest offering. I've never been a big fan of featureless 'glacial-ambience'; and the boring, freeform synth-pads used as sonic 'wallpaper'. Actually I have a preference for Scott Morgan's earlier works like "Plume" and "First Narrows". If Morgan is trying to convey a chilly, bleak terrain. Then this is probably the soundtrack for such an experience. As it is, I give it three stars only because it is Loscil. However, the recent efforts seem to be directionless.
