Basically a Reissue of 1963's "Lou Christie"

tenebrism

This is a great album that's missing a bunch. But that's probably because it's basically just a reissue of his 1963 self-titled debut, featuring all 12 songs from it, with the addition of "Lightnin' Strikes" (1965), "Outside the Gates of Heaven" (1966), and "I'm Gonna Make You Mine" (1969). Still good to download, since they seem to be the originals!

Lightnin', not Lightening

"Lightnin' Strikes" is way too great to be lightened. At first, I figured this was just another well-crafted ersatz remake from an artist who had managed to preserve his voice, both because of the misspelling and also because the sound quality of the emusic snippet was just too good. But after I downloaded it, the bass guitar solo gave me the old shivers so then I KNEW this was the real thing. Just take heed with Wiki and AMG and correct the spelling. One of the greatest post-doo-wop classics!!!!

they're the originals but as another poster said,"where's rhapsody in the rain"???it's the only song that's missing that should be here.

Sounds original to me.

Downloaded Lightening Strikes and I'm Going To Make You Mine and at first I wasn't 100% sure they are originals but after listening to them on my iPod instead of over the computer, I'm pretty sure they're originals. Glad I downloaded these!

If you like Lou Christie and his falsetto you will enjoy. Lightning Strikes and How many teardrops are the 2 you will recognize.
