A Must-Have!

alt.Checkmate

Possibly Love's best album, and one every progressive rock aficionado should own. More cerebral, but less stylistic than Da Capo, this was the third incarnation in less than two years of a band that seemingly had no limits. Sadly, Forever Changes was the limit. Drug use took a heavy toll on the band, and major personnel changes after Forever Changes was released took away the magic. Their fourth album, "Four Sail," was disappointing, to say the least.

a magnificent record

midcoastmaine

This version may be cluttered up with demos and backing tracks, but the original Forever Changes is one of the best albums ever recorded. If you google "los Angeles 1967", this album should be listed at the top of the search results. God bless Arthur Lee and Love
