Really good record
Give this one to your friends that don't like country music. They still won't, but they'll have a harder time making fun of you. Plus, the lead singer sounds like he could kick your ass while sighing about how tough life is.

It is amazing to me that more music lovers do not know of Lucero, this album, just like all their albums, absolutely affect you. This is one group that leaves you feeling something.
That Much Further West showcases everything this band is so good at; gritty vocals, rough-around-the edges but heartfelt, personal lyrics and a perfect combination of southern rock and roll and alternative country. Another record equally at home during a cross-country road trip or for playing while sitting around with your best friends on a lazy summer afternoon shooting whiskey chased with Pabst Blue Ribbon.
It really doesn't matter which album you listen to first from these four fantastic musicians... you'll be hooked. They tour all over the country with a ferver, and their live shows are becoming legendary (especially in Chicago). Like the title says, DON'T MISS THIS! LUCERO will be your next favorite band. -Mo
