Good intro to Lucy Schwartz

Here is another artist I would not have discovered with out eMusic. I really enjoy her voice and this simple EP is quite the pleasure. I don't care for Aretha Franklin's version of Otis Redding's song Respect (seriously, it has been played out for years), but Lucy Schwartz seems to totally reinvent it. It's not only listenable to me, but it's enjoyable...almost a completely new song

I first bought Lucy's other album "Winter In June", and this one shows so much more maturity and grace - plus a cover of RESPECT!! Lucy Schwartz seems to never disappoint me, her voice sounds like magic, bluesy vocals with poppy instrumentation. I can't stop listening to this record! She took a turn with some slower, sadder songs, but they are so beautiful I can't see how anyone would dislike them.
