seriously not gonna put down 40 something credits for this. madlib is nice and all...but dude.
43 credits for a digital copy? I'll grab the cd or vinyl version for way cheaper. You should do the same because it's a great album.
I'll go and buy the CD for a tenner rather than download 43 short tracks at 31p each. Madlib wins. Emusic loses.
Come on emusic!! Most tracks are under 2 minutes and one is 46 seconds long for which i have to use a credit!?! Sort out something so that on albums like this we are not expected to use 43 credits. For this and other reasons I feel the time has come to cancel my subscription. Once i've downloaded this album.
The universality of Madlib continues. The compositions displayed here are laced in true Madlib fashion with obscure audio clips and excellent beat compositions. Take a journey with a master of the craft. Without a doubt Madlib is schooling us on the origins of music as we know it. Don't miss the lessons.
madlib is consistently among the best beat maker/producers/musicians out there, in my honest opinion. what blows my mind is the quantity of music he puts out: at least three full length releases/year+ without sacrificing quality is proof of raw talent. honestly...im not a big fan of the source location themed albums though...between him and his brother it seems a bit gimmicky sometimes. 3 madlib.
