Nice Blues Instrumentals, But it's NOT Sam...
Don't be fooled into thinking this is some long lost Magic Sam masterpiece. These are brief instrumental tunes by a guitarist named Ron Thompson, most bearing little or no resemblance to Sam's style. That being said, the playing is fine, and it's a pretty good little instrumental blues album. Just don't waste your downloads thinking it's Sam. These same tracks are also found on Emusic titles "Black Magic Blues" and "The Last Sessions." Unscrupulous record labels continue to throw these tracks out as Sam when it's been known for some time this is not him.
