Summer Rain
If you don't speak spanish you shouldn't buy the works of Manolo Garcia. You would be missing the beauty of his prose and poetry. Well, you might buy it for the music but, again, what of the lyrics? He has been one of Spain's most beloved lyricist since the mid 1980's. The passion that runs through this mans veins is hard to find in any language. You feel it when you listen to him and, if you're observant, when he quietly watches his back while he flamenco claps. Maybe it's time to dust off that Spanish 101 textbook your mother said would work wonders if you travelled to Spain. You also have to quickly work on undertsanding poetry in Spanish. Only this time you might find yourself understanding it's culture by sitting home in front of your fan anywhere in the world while drinking Gazpacho and trying to decipher where all this music came from.
