Márcia is a competent and expressive singer discovered in the historic festivals. Her participation in the III FMPB with Johnny Alf’s “Eu E A brisa” wasn’t properly understood and she was not classified. Soon after this song would be a great hit in her voice, receiving directly from the people the acclamation denied by the critics. Her intense, pungent interpretations for a repertoire of romantic songs like “Eu E A Brisa,” “Viagem,” “Pra Machucar Meu Coração,” “Ouça,” “Ronda,” and many other wonderful classics are all on this CD reissue of her second LP, Márcia (Philips, 1969). – Alvaro Neder
