Mario Lanza’s collection of Christmas songs takes on the Italian-themed sound of his regular work, making for some interesting renditions. Everything is done in his traditional orchestrated style, with emphasis on the tones and sounds, which makes for some beautiful takes. This may not be for everyone, especially those who do not enjoy Lanza’s broad croon. But for those looking for Italian-themed performances in their Christmas records, this is an excellent album to buy. – Bradley Torreano
