Nothing groundbreaking but solid none-the-less
A pretty solid set of fusion oriented Jazz spanning the genre from some slightly more smooth sounds to some kicking, all out Fusion jams. All of it has a kind of "happy" sound to it, in the same way as Spyro Gyra's trademark sound. Not that that is a bad thing. It just puts this recording in that strange space that can cause it to be overlooked by listeners on both sides of the Fusion and Smooth Jazz fence. For me it works fine since I have no problem occasionally crossing over to the Smooth Jazz side . Mitch Forman is pretty transparent providing keyboard support, Colaiuta is solid on drums and Bill Evans puts in some great Sax work.
