On this very enjoyable set, pianist Mark Levine Latinizes a wide variety of material, including songs by pianists Mulgrew Miller and Ronnie Matthews, drummer Victor Lewis, Sonny Rollins, and trumpeter Charles Tolliver, plus a few standards including “You and the Night and the Music” and “On Green Dolphin Street.” The Latin rhythms work quite well on these songs, making Levine’s quartet date a real joy. – Scott Yanow
