Incredible Vocal Phrasing
Sometimes "different" is so much of an effort that it's tiresome. Mary Margaret O'Hara's singing falls on the positive (innovative) side of that term. She makes rock/folk/pop/whatever something completely different with a unique and memorable style. I've been listening to this for 20 years and I still love it. The music is awesome too and plays off her singing style...or is it vice versa? This is authentic and visceral vocal style married to interesting and beautiful music.
