Nice
"Fairlee" is easily their best song ever. I used to dance around the room holding my toddler while we listened to this song. She loves it too!

Definitely take a chance on this record, it's one of my all time favorites - reminds me of my freshman dorm :) try #1, 3, 6, 8 .. shit try the whole thing
One way or another I had found these guys a while back, either Amazon had recommended them as a similar band I'd like based on purchases or I'd seen them on a particularly great couple of weeks for bands on Kimmel. Either way I ran out and bought the only CD I could find which my girlfriend promptly lost. So glad to find these dudes on here, I miss their sound blasting from my speakers on the afternoon drive.
I've listened to this over and over, each time the music becomes more and more listenable. This guy certainly has things sorted. I showed it to someone who commented that the violin (too polite to correct them - cello) should be in more rock bands and it certainly adds a twist. very skilled musician. Some emotional pieces
Matt's delivery here is strong. The vocals are emotional and affecting and the instrumentation is full and heartfelt. Damn, I can't get enough of that cello.
Matt has a great voice and emotional delivery that reminds me a bit of Lou Barlow. I also love the lush strings on many of the songs. Matt Pond PA is my best eMusic find to date. I have downloaded all I could find here, and have also bought the couple of most recent releases not yet available. Out of all his releases, this album is my favorite, so don't hesitate to download this one first.
From the first riff of "Fair Lee" you feel better when listening to this music. Sometimes uplifting sometimes darker, "The Nature of Maps" is exquisite. Mr. Pond has a voice that sounds like a best friend you haven't spoken to for a long time, his voice is comforting & familiar. The strings add a dimension that works very well, this is the kind of record that almost anyone can like. "The Party" makes me cry 7 out of 10 times. DOUBLEPLUSGOOD.
